Nancy B. Perlson, LCSW, RYT
"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." -Viktor E. Frankl

There is so much to be said about that space "between" and both the "stimulus and response" bookends. It is these experiences, the losses and transitions of life, that can leave us feeling disconnected and untethered from ourselves and the world we inhabit. As we learn to sit in that in between space together, my commitment to your safety and comfort is paramount in creating a space where growth, insight and healing are able to organically unfold.
I have a specialty in trauma, grief and loss. With that comes an implicit understanding that what one perceives as "trauma" is highly subjective and encompasses a wide variety of human experience. I have post graduate training in many therapy modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Yoga and Meditation. My eclectic approach to therapy lends itself naturally to a client driven process that is as diverse as the human experience.
